Why Alpacas?

We first saw alpacas at the Mystery Creek Fieldays, and haven't looked back since! 

Those beautiful brown eyes looking back at me –  alpaca fibre – that wonderful fibre – so soft to the touch!

Not only do they have fantastic fibre, they are such a pleasure to own and are extremely easy care animals ideally suited for lifestyle blocks.  They can also be a great investment if you wish to set up a breeding herd of quality females.  Read more about us and the services we can offer.

Alpacas New Zealand. We breed Quality Huacaya alpacas using the best genetics we can source, specializing in coloured animals (which includes white and we are ”working” towards some black animals). Christine as a keen spinner and felter and can see the potential of a fibre that comes in so many different natural colours with no need for chemical dyeing.

Our alpaca numbers are slowly but surely increasing as we build up our breeding herd and on our 50 acre property we still have room to offer Agistment for animals if needed for our clients – including Holidays or extended overseas trips (if you only live here for part of the year you can still breed or own Alpacas)
